I may have swollen eyes from all the tears, I may still be on the verge of tears, I may feel like I smoked about 45 cigarettes last night (don’t quite know why!), and I may have a slight ache in the old head this morning… But it was all worth it. What a send off from the teachers last night, and what a night with all of the lovely people I have met over the last twelve weeks. It is so bizarre to be sitting at the airport in Cork waiting for my flight to London knowing it’s over.

The exams went well, there were bits and pieces that were tricky, but over all I feel good with how they went. It was a long day, we started at 8:30, and finished at 3:30. Mary, Chris, and I ran into Castlemartyr quickly after the last exam to grab some cash, and a bottle of bubbles… Then it was back to the school to quickly get ready for the farewell dinner. The teachers did such a great job with the dinner, food was fabulous (as expected), and the dining room looked great. We were then off to The Blackbird, and what a night it was.

I really can’t believe it’s over, and maybe once everything sinks in after a few days away from the school it will all make sense.

I really can’t believe how incredible the experience was, and how many great people I met on this journey. To all of the people I met, good luck, and miss you already. To everyone back in E-Town following my journey – see you soon!

Will write a proper blog once I’ve had time to process life after Ballymaloe.
